This collection started in 2008, after I visited the House of Blues in Atlantic City, NJ. Their menu boasted of a new "category 5" drink that they were serving in the Sam's Shrunken Head Mug by Sam Gambino for Tiki Farm. It was love at first sight. When I got the drink, my heart dropped when I realized that it was in a different mug. Before I could even ask the bartender why, he looked at my dumbfounded expression and said "We don't have the mug in the picture anymore, people were stealing them". Well, I didn't intend to steal one, but I surely intended to buy it for whatever price they named. My curiosity was now piqued. Who is Sam Gambino? What is Tiki Farm? Why am I falling in love with all things Tiki? Well it is 2009 and I am slowly building my Tiki Mug collection. I have a modest 21 items in my collection so far, but I do not intend to stop collecting ever. I will search high and low, day and night and in all types of weather. True love knows no boaundaries.
