I'm new to the world of tiki, not a collector for resale.
My grandparents lived on The Oregon Coast when I was a kid and worked at a motel which had a tiki theamed restaurant and bar.
The restaurant and bar permanently closed while the motel remained open.
I would play in the closed restaurant and bar while my grandpa and grandma worked.
Tiki and things from the coast remind me of those times and my grandparents:-)
My first trip to Hawaii was last year (2015) to Maui (Lahaina) this year (2016) was Kaua'i (Anahola) in June. I loved my time on both islands!
The most beautiful places I've ever been! with the friendliest people I've ever met!
Mostly hit dive bars, food trucks and small local diners. Plus lots of snorkeling!!
I have family on Oahu, maybe I will make it there someday!
Heck!, the first time I flew on a plane was just a few years ago!
Flew for the first time for my first trip to Vegas for my 50th birthday!!
I really miss Kaua'i and just started to pick up some reminders of my grandparents and Hawaii in the form of tiki mugs and such a couple months ago.
