I'm new to tiki as a conscious collector, but have been crawling the tiki road for more than 20 years without realizing it. Re Ooga-Mooga, I'm particularly interested in tiki bowls, fiercely Polynesian-looking mugs and fluid mugs. I also love the sensuous hula girl mugs, because they represent, to me, the perfect balance between the Divine Feminine, and earthy kitsch (not to be confused with Eartha Kitt.) My wish list, at the moment, is for a Muntiki Ripple, in particular a brown one, and the complete line of Tommy Bahama hula girls. I'm also a food writer, and love to read about, as well as prepare and serve, tiki pupus with cocktails. Am slowly creating a tiki bar corner of my living room and will post photos when it is completed. Living in the SF Bay ARea, I enjoy tiki bar crawls and would love to be contacted if one of these is being organized.
