collectors piece by Honolulu artist "Gecko". This piece is called the "Waka Taua" which means War Canoe in the Maori language. The original Wakas were manned up to 80 of the strongest and fiercest Polynesians you would never want to come across. Up to 40 meters in length some of them.
This Waka is fired in brown glaze. The front part of the waka is taking precious space for allowing you to have more beverages space so we decided to remove that in the next batch which makes this batch the only ones that will look like this at the front. we made 38 pieces like this before we decided to go regular. The canoe is awesome to use for pupus, such as ahi poki, sashimi and other delicious finger foods. This will also hold 20.oz of your favorite drink.
Measurements : The Waka Taua is 17 inches long by 6 1/2 at its tallest.
