This Half Shot is still made by imperial glass but does NOT have the GOLD shell around the bottom. Which restaurant/bar these were made for is unknown to me. Perhaps more rare than the more elaborate gold banded version. Trader Vic's "Half Shot" comes in red or green has NO gold bottom. same as big shot except this glass is 3 1/2" tall by 2 1/4" wide & reads "half shot & xxxxxx's" on bottom.

This red glass with a gold metallic base was made by Imperial Glass Company for Trader Vic's. Morgantown Glass Company was occasionally contracted by Imperial Glass to produce these if their production line was at capacity. The glass has "HALF SHOT" embossed on the bottom and looks like a bullet casing.
