LE Marquesan tiki mug by Gecko Only 25 The tiki mug is done in the South Sea Arts signature brown color that you may have seen on our past limited edition tiki mugs. We get emails asking all the time how to create this color but it is hard to create if you live on the mainland as Gecko mixes minerals from the islands to create this color. One of the secrets that is used is our red dirt you see on the windward side of the island. Gecko will bring a bucket of this red dirt to his studio and sift it really smooth into a bucket then he takes the sifted dirt and puts it into a t-shirt and runs a small amount of water through it to get the color....almost the same process you see used on our red dirt t-shirts. He then mixes it with other minerals that he gets from all 4 corners of the island and blends it to make this fabulous color. We do our limited editions and artist proofs only in this color due to the amount of work it takes to make. This allows our collectors to have a piece of Hawaii in their new tiki mug. **White Eyes, Lime green inside LTD Edition of 25 sold on ebay 1/07

This mug was designed and manufactured by Gecko. The mug is shaped liked two Marquesan tikis, one on top of the other. This version is finished in a red clay glaze.
