From Tiki Oasis 2005, Palm Springs, an Event
Manufactured by Munktiki
Designed by Paul Nielsen
Produced in 2005
Edition of 1
One of four mugs offered out of a $20 Munktiki vending machine at the 2005 Tiki Oasis V event in Palm Springs. The other three mugs were the Rum Barrel, Arrrr the Skull & Bones, and Peaty the Parrot, and the four are designed to stack together. Each mug came with a matching pendant, this one was a smaller version of the tiki. This nicely detailed mug is shaped like a tiki with diamond-shaped eyes and one row of teeth visible between its lips. "Baby Kahuna" is printed on the back. There was only one of this "Ultra Rare" gold version, the others were yellow.

It's really neat to see the little variations on each mug that was in that machine -- but this one must have been pretty exciting to open up!
