This is a stone Tiki holding open its mouth to reveal a golden skull. This is a massive sculpture weighing in at 7lbs. The Tiki and the removable skull are made of high-fire ceramic and the skull is coated with real gold glaze. Ever since its 1794 discovery atop VanTiki Island’s highest peak, this mysterious gold eating “mug-within-a-mug” has driven men to murder and madness! Sir James Tillburg was the first to suggest that the treasure guarded by The Gold Eater is, in fact, not the solid gold vessel within it’s mouth - but a cave full of riches hidden away on VanTiki island. For over 200 years treasure hunters such as Sawtooth Jack and adventures like Lord Smiddly have attempted to unravel The Gold Eater’s secrets.
