This mug by Otagiri was used at many restaurants, and is commonly called the Bug-Eyed Moai. The mug is of a stylized moai, more narrow at the top, and having distinctive large, rounded eyeballs. The glaze is two-toned, with a beige overlaid with a darker streaky brown. The interior is white.
