This mug was created by Gecko as a tribute to music great Augie Colon. The brown tiki is drumming and has an open mouth, revealing the red glazed interior. "Augie Colon" is in raised letters on front base, Gecko logo is on back. Known as both the "Sophisticated Savage" mug and the "Augie Colon" mug.

these have a lead based glaze interior. not for drinking.

This mug is #1 of only 25 Artist Proofs. The mouth is open so it is difficult to drink out of. The next 25 will be a Regular Edition with the mouth closed and a different color glaze. The only way to get these are on eBay. They are truly gorgeous and a wonderful addition to anyones collection.

This new one of Gecko's is gorgeous -- I love the Bumatay mug of his best, but this is a pretty easy 2nd favorite! That mouth is great -- is it open to the interior? Do you have to fill it only halfway, and then be careful which direction you're tipping it when drinking?
