The 7-piece set works together to form a long canoe that measures 52" long, 15.75" tall, holds a combined volume of 230 oz, and consists of a stern piece, a bow piece, and 5 middle pieces. The stern (back) and bow (front) pieces hold 40 oz each, good for 2 to 4 people. Each middle piece holds 30 oz, for 1 to 3 people. These sets are also available in a 3 or 5 piece set, and although additional middle pieces can be purchased separately, there will be only 50 bows and sterns issued. Made of stoneware. Modeled after the Waka Tau, or war canoe, used by the Maori people of New Zealand to transport warriors and intimidate their enemies. Several Maori styled tiki carvings along its length and rides on a bed of cresting waves.
